THE KENNELS
These are the original 11 Kennels built in 1978. As you can see there is plenty of natural light, these kennels comfortably fit one large dog or two very small dogs. They are heated in winter and hatches kept closed so they keep warm, cosy and draught free. In the summer they are cool and airy with covered outdoor runs.
All our outdoor runs are concrete blocks on the bottom half and wire panels on the top. We feel this makes most dogs feel more secure. It reduces noise and stress as ‘reactive’ dogs don’t spend all day running up and down and barking through the wire as in many other ‘set-
This is one of our double kennels which comfortably fits ‘Emma’ a very spoilt Greyhound with all her belongings and would easily fit two large Labradors. We also have kennels for 3 large dogs or 4 small with good sized covered outdoor runs.
One of our graveled exercise areas. Dogs are let out into these areas at least 3 times a day either individually or in groups depending on temperaments, size
etc. This area adjoins the ‘stables’, a small building with six good sized kennels. These kennels do not have outside runs and are only used for small ‘clean’ dogs. The dogs are let out much more regularly usually all together. They are more quiet and peaceful on the whole and suited to ‘toy’ dogs and other small breeds. Again plenty of air and natural light but very warm in the winter.
